Just added the $5.50 siren to my 02 Road King Classic. So simple to do.

Just did this on my 08 ultra. 15 minute install. Inserted the wires in the connector and put it back in it's spot. Works great.

I just did 07 RKC about 2 minutes ago....very simple project. Putting the bags back on was the hardest part. If you live on SOMD Prince Frederick Radio Shack is out o them, but he ordered more today. Must be popular down here!!

Take off right side bag, take off cover, remove two allen bolts on ECM, remove two nuts on plastic cover - remove and behind cover if the wires you are looking for - remove weather cover to the plug - siren wires slide right in the brown and green terminals - replace weather cover, slide plug back behind plastic cover - replace plastic cover, ECM - I attached mine with super velcro to the rear of the ECM - replace cover and bag...all done!! Chirp is not as loud as I expected, but when I set the alarm off it was loud!!! Nice quick upgrade!

done on the 10 EG Ultra
side cover, and install.

if you have the time to solder a short piece of paper clip to the wires, and insert real good... waterproof the connection... the connector will reach some great spots to mount where the siren will sound much louder than the position behind the side cover.

now i can hear it from my garage.

HD forums rocks.

Ok, I hope this hasn't been answered as i will feel like an idiot for reading all 20 pages of this thread........

I have done this mod twice, once on my 08 Street Glide, works perfect. Just a week or so ago I did it for my father on his 03 Ultra Classic. He has the older style push button fobs. Activate the alarm, siren chirps with the lights...........bump the bike siren gives a brief yelp warning. Try to move the bike or stand it up and siren goes off as it should. PROBLEM is........pushing the button on the key fob doesn't seem to disarm it once the siren is going off. It takes a at least 20-30 seconds for it to shut off.

Sorry if this has been answered, but I did search it and I did read through this thread (30 minutes of reading/skimming)

Thanks!!

I did the siren on my last bike, an 03. It worked perfectly. The only things I can think of is
you may not have connected the correct wires. Or possibly a strand is touching one of the other wires.
Lastly, maybe the fob battery is a little weak?

I seem to recall somebody else reporting this problem, and it turned out their wires were reversed. Double check your wiring.

I ran the second one up above the rear cylinder. Under the seat facing front and down. Much louder now. Now the sound reaches the whole house from the garage. Me like.

thanks for the help.
