Default RE: Yikes!!! Corrected #'s Dyno!!!

ORIGINAL: jcbpa

Well, I am pretty foolish, but it did spark some good conversation: I read the #'s wrong:
Here are the corrected #'s

prior to tune: max power = 55. 42 after tune: max power = 68.14
prior to tune: max torque =65.98 after tune: max torque = 76.54

they said they were having a tough time because it was pretty cold outside? but the chart reads: RO Run conditions: 48.9 degrees F, 29.90 in-Hg. Humidity 8% SAE:0.95.... Now does that make it better or worse???
I don't think anyone came back to answer your question. The SAE correction does not make it better or worse, itmakes it the same. Another words, if you were to re-dyno on this dyno on a daywith different atmospheric conditions, the HP/TQ #s should come out the same.Having a dyno with SAE correction is one of many reasons that the Harley numbed, lieingbutt dyno has long ago beenobsoleted.

It is a good idea to have your bike tuned when the atmospheric conditions arenot at their extremes. Even though today'sengine management systemsare supposed to compensate for such changes, after a few mods, the accuracy of such compensation can get corrupted.
