Does anyone know of another source for extended warrantys other that HD dealers?

 

Even if you found one....I'd be weary. I used to sell extended warranties and many companies went out of business. Other sound like a good deal, but don't cover as much. If you're going to buy one, I'd buy from the dealer.

 

mrkicks gives good advise. now no matter what they tell you warranties are negoiatable. i worked for dealer and he wouldnt give me a break. wanted 1500.00 for the 7 year extended. i called a former dealer where i was a good customer and got the same thing for 1250.00 shop other dealers and tell them you are looking for about 20% or so off. a lot will do those numbers.

 

oh yeah and be CRYSTAL clear on what is and isn't covered before you sign, or just exactly how you're supposed to get warranty work authorized/started.

 

More specifically you want to buy one from Harley Davidson, it's not good enough to just buy from the dealer who may be selling from an independent insurance company. The independents tend to be more problematic.

 

Put your money back in your purse lol, they are not worth the power to blow them to,(well you get the idea) by the time the Stealer cries about add ons and abuse, you really don't have mush warrentee.
