Default Brighter turn signal trick without any cost

Hi there
I realised that my rear turn signals was not as bright as my front signals. So I went into the kitchen and made two round sheets of aluminium foil, that I placed behind the light bulbs. And voila! The rear tur signals where 50% brighter.
That's a real cheap and quick improvement.

Of cource it will only work if your rear turnsignal housings are black inside, like mine. My front signals are cromed inside.

Best regards

I checked mine, and they are chrome inside. Good tip though.
I would like to know, how many Harley dealers in Sweden?

Hello Granddad
There are 22 Harley dealers in Sweden. Maybe not so much for one of Europes largest countries, but we are only 9 miljon living here.
Harley is very big in Sweden. Second after USA when it comes to Harleys per capita.

Best regards

Are theHarleys there the same as the US Harleys?? I mean sometimes the same car in the US will be a little different than the cars over seas, just curious?

Hi Creepshow
They are only a little bit different due to legal requirements.
The front turn signals are not allowed to act as running lights.
The front fender light is not activated (but thats easy to fix) and it is allowed with white light.
The rear fender light and lower part of the fender is covered by a European licence plate mount, since we have larger licens plates here. That is another fix most of us do. And relocate the license plate to it's original place.
Red sidemarker lights are not allowed, all sidemarker lightning must be amber (as you can se on mine).
The Tour-pak light ramp is not standard, even though it's allowed.
I think that is all difference. Except for the much higher price we have to pay. A new Ultra costs 40.000 dollars in Sweden.

The lighted mirrors and windshield list that I have mounted on my bike this winter is not allowed. No amber running lights in front. But I'm not worried. The Swedish police are mainly occupied with writing speeding tickets.

Best regards

40K. I wonder how much of that is import tax, luxury tax or whatever other tax they have over there? I know England can come up with some pretty creative taxes. When I was stationed in England my favorite was the TV tax. Had to pay it every year and it was higher if,heaven forbid, you had color TV.
