Default PCIII and idle rpms

I have a 2004 Electra Glide Classic with SE mufflers, wanted to address the heat issue so I recently installed a PCIII fuel management system. The installation of a basic map went okay but I cannot get the idle below 1000rpm. I haven't had a chance to test drive it due to the weather and have not spoke to Jamie, just thought I'd see if any of you had exerienced this or is this rpm too high. It idled before the PC install at around 750-800. I did get the throttle positions set as was directed.

sounds like you need to do the throttle idle reset procedure. Contact PC support, they will walk you throught it. They were great when needed to have mine reset. Only takes a few minutes.

On a bagger, you want your idle at 1000 rpm plus or minus 50. If your idle is set too low it will put an extra strain on the charging system. The lope at 750 sounds cool, but your stator can't keep up a charge at that rpm.

My 2005 RG idles @ 1000 RPM. The ServiceManual spec is 1000 RPM +/- 50.

Yup, 750-800 is too low.
