Smart Siren 2 Install on '08 Road King
Okay! I guess I'm a effing idiot!!! I picked up the smart siren to add to my bike, and even joked with the parts guy when he asked if I wanted it installed! I say, come on, give me a break! So I take it home, and try and install the thing this morning. The directions don't look remotely close! Help me please!!
Really, I usually don't have these kinds of problems! Please don't confirm my idiot status, but if you must, please give me clue to get started...JEEZ.....

I think I saw a post that the directions are for an 07 not an 08, but anyway. Remove the left side cover and you should see a plastic bracket that the siren snaps into. Under that you should see a plug that fits the one on the smart siren.
Hope that helps.

Should be a slot for the siren to slide in and catch. One connection to plug into under left side cover.Siren must be on the bike for 24 hours before it will "chirp". Battery needs to charge up the battery on the siren. After that, look out it is deafening inside the shop!

The fit is reaaly tight, look on the left side right next to the fuse box, the actual plug is plugged in to a dummy port. There is two posts about 2-3 inches apart, I ended busting mine and using d/s tape to make it more secure. Once you do it you might feel kinda dumd (lol) it happened to me!.

The install took me a grand total of two minutes after I saw the pics and where the module went! Again, thanks for the help. [&o]
