Default Brake lever question

Can someone please explain to me the difference between the EZ-Brake and an extended brake lever besides the $100.00 difference that Kury sells? I'm looking at moving my floorboards forward and out, I think it would also be a good idea to move my shifter and brake levers forward as well. Any info would be great!
