pete, that is still too much for a front tire. Which dlr in NH?

I got 3 quotes from 3 NH dlrs closest to me for front and rear replacement D402's.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; $455.00, $431.00 and $395.00 mounted, balanced and installed. The last quote is my local dlr and they don't require an appointment. In by 3 out by closing. I will be there when they open.

I should add that the tires are blackwall and were $221.00 pair.

Update. Went with the blackwall (can't see the back tire anyway!) and it's ~ $155.00 + tax. Free installation. That's the Dunlop 402 at the Corpus Christi HD. And that's the BACK TIRE!

Hey pete, Seacoast is the same price as Nashua. Didn't realize that you have spokes.

So it would of been cheaper if you didn't get the custom scratch and decolorization of the frame? [8D]

The scratches are why I started doin' my own 20 years ago.&nbsp\\; The shop "tire monkey" isn't paid enough to care about *your* bike.

New Dunlop sittin' on my shop floor cost $117 delivered.&nbsp\\; It'll cost me 'bout an hour (maybe two if I'm lazy) when I get around to changin' it.&nbsp\\; I changed a neighbors front tire on his Triumph yesterday.&nbsp\\; We spent an hour or so tinkerin', talkin' &amp\\; changin' his tire.&nbsp\\; I balanced his wheel (without the tire), the heavy spot on that wheel is about 90 degrees from the valve stem.&nbsp\\; Then we mounted the tire &amp\\; balanced it.&nbsp\\; Took fewer weights than it would have if a shop had just jammed the tire on with the weight mark at the valve stem.

When I mount new tires on my FLTR I'll be installin' these...&nbsp\\; www.motorcycleanchor.com/tire_valves/index.htm

I'm a lot more comfortable with the work I do than what I get at shops.
