Custom Bagger "Dun"

Custom Bagger "Dun"
I fired it up yesterday for the first time. Went through 5 heat cycles. Now to get a title, insurance, etc. I started the build back in July while recovering from laying the Road King down on 50 in West Virginia back in May. The frame, wheels, and rough front end came from Ebay. The builder's customer had backed out on the deal. As a shade tree mechanic I expected problems. And there were many. I'm still not satisfied with the spacing of the rear wheel. I'll take it to a pro when I get it registered to get it checked. The rear fender came from Klockwerks and fits inside the frame. The swingarm/rear wheel kit from FBI (FBI kits have fenders that fit over the frame). The alignment "may" be alright, but I'll get it checked.
The bike started with Rolling Thunder frame, stock geometry, but with 1 1/4" downtubes. Rear fender is from Klockwerks, stock fender widened, with a RWC LED tail light molded in and license plate frenched into fender. Front fender is from RWD also. Front tire is 140/16 and rear is 200/17. Front forks area combo HD treated to rework/cartridges by Traxxion in GA. The rear brake is stock HD, the front is all Brembo.
Front fairing is HD with Dakota Digital gauges (6). Handle bars are Chubby Touring, mirrors are the new fairing mounted Kuryakyn. Radio is Biketronics with XMand speakers Hog tunes. Cruise control is HD. Wiring harness is HD 2004 FLHTC. Battery is Odyessey. Starter is the new All ***** 1.6KW.
Transmission is Baker DDR6, clutch is Rivera Pro with the Rivera variable pressure plate (is you ever get the pressure plate, you'll need a derby spacer, spacer does not come chromed). M6 Hayden chain tensioner, 88 tooth clutch basket gear. 45amp charging system keeps the volts flowing.
Gas tank is RWD 6 gallon. Paint is vintage HD Vivid black. The tank was done by Jim Munroe in RI. He did a great job with emblem I had him do. Saddle bags, inserts, etc, are HD
The motor is S&S 124" Twincam, Single Bore Fuel Injection, VFI module, S&S Dual breather setup, with Closed Loop O2 sensors. Exhaust is Bub Seven.
A big thanks to Bob at Cycle Maintenance in Groveland, MA for the advice and Drag Specialities parts. And to Jason at Moroney's HD in Newburgh, NY for the HD parts. And lastly, thanks to Ebay, I saved a ton on a lot of parts!
Oh yea, next time you are quoted $45K plus for a top of the line customer bagger, give me a call and I'll tell you why it's such a great deal. The "bolt on" Bub Sevens took 10 hours alone to mount. NOTHING is a bolt-on for a custom! The parts I assembled were what I consider the ultimate for performance purposes. I wanted to do it ONE time. I have an Ultra Tour Pak being painted for touring with the wife.
