Wow. I have great respect for you. I would not have been able to wait that long or work on it without riding for that length of time... and you do realize that you are not DUN with it? Right?

I have only had my current scoot for 2 months and I have jacked with it every weekend without failure. Some new part or idea for modification. My wife has caught me out in the garage in my PJs in the cold installing chrome parts. Oh, and I already think it needs more "warp speed!"

Thanks for all the complments. I'll take more pictures tomorrow. May even swap a set of plates from one of the other bikes for a little putt. This was quite an adventure. I even kept a spreadsheet with all the costs.

Very nice ride gunnert. I'd say we have similar tastes in custom baggers and yes I know all too well the costs. Shade over 50K in mine thus far but no regrets. Love what you've done with yours.
Glideman,
Doesn't take long, does it. I feel your pain.

Gunnert,
Really nice job on the scoot, I will be interested to hear your thoughts after your first ride on a bike that is truly "yours" from top to bottom.

I sneaked out this afternoon for a quick trip around the block. The motor is really rough running. A quick call to a tuner in NY and I was advised that was normal for a new S&S motor with closed loop fuel injection. I put about 5 miles on the bike. Except for the motor (which smoothed out at constant speed), it rides better than I imagines. It is VERY smooth. The Bub Sevens aren't as loud as I thought they might be on cold idle. At speed the volume isn't bad at all. It'll kill me waiting 6-8 weeks to get a title and insurance. I'll enjoy looking at it being clean, it won't last long...

Default Sounds familiar!!!

I also built a custom bagger on a rolling thunder 200 frame - you used a stock rer calpier me too and a rear wheel from a late model softail with a 200 rear tire ( put in 1 inch bearings) - problm i got is I cant get the rear caliper on or off with the rotor on the wheel. What did you use for a rear wheel. or did you have this problem? to tak th back wheel off i have to disconnect th brake line. and/or to get the caliper off ihave to remove the rotor. makes changing the rear tire a pain in the butt 4 sure. Whats your setup like??
