Default RE: GPS Mount?I'm mounit

those mounts look to be TECHMOUNT - Products I bought a 30997 blk to mount my zumo 550,seems to be a very nice solid made mount, lots of adjustment, and im hoping it blends in with my fairing and black controls on my bike this spring when it gets mounted up,ram mounts are good mounts,i personally dont care for the look of the ram mounts and didnt want to use the ones that came with my zumo 550. I'm sure it will be more difficult to steal my zumo base and mount, over the ram mount set up with just a wingnut to remove everything. have no plans on leaving the zumo on the bike if im walking around ,or leaving the bike unattended, and i dont want to have to remove everything all the time to assure i have a mount for the zumo there when i get back to the bike. sure some tools they might take this mount as well, but they'll work for it and it wont be removed in seconds either

I bought the bracket only for Harley Hand Held Mike Part #76312-98 for $11.00 @ dealer. Then bought a Magellan Swivel on line and used this to mount my Magellan 2200. Looks good and uses the existing screws on the left handlebar.[/b]

I like the looks of this mount..
I am swapping to the bigger bars 1 1/8 dia. I think.. Internal wiring.
And want the chrome mount..

My question is, what do you have ti do to mount the Zumo 550 to this unit..
I cant picture in my head how the holder mounts to the power cradle..
Does it screw directly to the mount ??

Thanks in advance

I use a Ram mount for my Garmin 330. It works great. Just wish there was a quick detach for the ball mount that secures to the handlebars. It looks funny when the GPS isn't attached.

Here's what I did. A different Garmin, though it should work the same.

That's a nice solution. I love the 12V power socket.

I use a RAM mount on my left side handlebar and plug the power into the cigarette lighter in the fairing.
