Larry, you could use the cigarette lighter; it's on the left side of the fairing (where you will probably mount the CB) and very accessible.
FWIW: Biketronics who sell an interface unit for installation of a Sony headunit on EG Standards and others, recommends good grounding for the performance of theheadunitwhich, for them, means the groundon the triple tree to the left of the steering head IIRC. Crimp a spade connector on the end of the ground wire, loosen the bolt that secures the other grounds using a 3/8" open-end or boxed wrech (I don't think there was enough room for a socket), then slide the spade connector under the bolt head and re-tighten.
