Default HELP....

I HAVE RELOCATED MY LICENSE PLATE WITH THE SET UP THAT COMES ON THE FLHX MODELS. I WANT TO REMOVE THE BAR THAT THE TAG BRACKET WAS MOUNTED TO ON A ROAD KING CLASSIC. SOME HAVE SAID THAT IT TAKES AWAY FROM THE STRUCTURAL INTERGRETY OF THE FENDER FOR 2 UP RIDING. AGREE OR DISAGREE?

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT!

If I were you, I'd contact the factory regarding that issue. Know one apparently knows for sure and it seems like it may be a safety issue.

ive had that bar off several times, i would say it only comes into play with a tourpac. i dont think you will see any trouble if you remove it.

Isn't there a thread somewhere for that ALL CAPS thing?

I tend to agree with the "shift" people... CAPS ARE SHOUTING!!!

I got called the (note quotes) "MOST ARROGANT MAN I'VE EVER MET" for suggesting that a Match.com chick quit typing in all caps... Might explain one of the many reasons why I'm still single.

Sorry, don't know crap about the RK's fender mounts.... BUT, I'm less **** about caps now....

Roadkingdude-

You can remove the bar that the old plate use to mount to.
Eglidegoodies.com and J&P cycles offer a kit with 2 little brackets that bolt from the fender struts to the long bracket on each side of the rear fender to provide the structural integrity. They also offer the kits along with littl bullet lights or crome bullets that sit in the holes left by removing the bracket itself.

I can't fing that braket you where talking about from either one of those sites. Even called J&P about it, the help desk could not locate it either. Any clue what the part number may be ? Either that or I'm gonna hack the sucker off. Thanks.
