2007 Road King Classic Fuel Gauge Replacement
Hey guys,
First post here. My dad just bought a 2007 Road King Classic and is customizing it a bit. He would like to know the procedure or if there are any special details to replacing the fuel gauge with a custom one that he is going to buy from the local Harley shop. The one he is buying is like this:

He wants to know if there is anything special he needs to do with the wiring and if not, just what the procedure for replacing it is.
Thanks for any help!

ORIGINAL: stimul8ing guy
That's a unique look but the reality is, none of the fuel gauges are very accurate and for me I think I'd spend my $$ elsewhere, but to each his own!
God Luck!

There's nothing special that needs to be done with the wiring......all the parts are included in the kit. It's pretty straight forward, a service manual would help with the removal of the old guage but its not necessary. I installed the flush mount LED guage on my RKC without difficulty.

If it's anything like the flush mount gas gauge (I couldn't see why it wouldn't be), it's not that tough to install as far as wiring goes.
The hardest part was getting my sausage fingers up under the tank to reconnect the wiring.
It's an easy job that I think anyone can pretty much do on thier own.
