Default Black Forks for my 08 Sreet Glide??

I was gonna do Chrome forks, but now Im thinking about the black ones.Trouble is....I believe they are Different for 08's.Reason I say that is cause the Chrome Forks have a different part # than the 08's.HD Dealer didn't know[big surprise].Soo...Any aftermarkets for 08?Should I just powder coat my factory's[probably the cheapest route to go]or Does somebody have a new part # for the 08's.Thanks guys.

Last time I was at the dealer they said they had not released the black legs for the 08 yet, but that was a month ago or so... I would just powder coat the ones you have and save the money, or hit Ebay and grab some 08's that someone had taken off.

I checked both the HD front end black out parts and my local powder coater. I can have the whole front end powder coated for around $150. dollars, the Harley lowers I think are almost double that and they are paint. The paint is probably no big dea, but the cost is. Down time for me wil be around a week, but I am not doing it until I do my 103 kit and I have been waiting on the parts for that job first, than the black begins.

RR, ck with your local powder coater guys it may be way cheaper for you to coat what you have instead of changing everything. Good luck.

I just bought my 2008 Street Glide this past Saturday. It already had black forks installed by the dealer, so they must be available. The service manager told me that he had planned to replace the chrome piece directly under the headlight but it was on backorder.

Ya like $370.00 for top & bottom from HD!So paying anything less than that for powdercoating would be a good move!It was $550 for the Chrome ones[top & bottom]BTWIm in Canada. My bike is Brand new,so Im doing wheels, pipes, all that jazz,at the same time,so Downtime is no issue.
