Just off the phone with Bill at Metzeler and he said to not run the pressure higher than the sidewall rating. This conflicts with info I have read on the the forum about running pressures as high as 48-50 in the rear and 45 or so in the front. He mentioned that the higher pressures were correct for stock 16 inch tire sizes but not to exceed 42lbs front or rear for my combo. I have the 120/70/21 front and 150/70/18 rear. He also mentioned that even on an Ultra Classic I would be well within the load rating of the tires due to the front to rear load distribution of the bike...

Anyone have any thoughts about the tire pressure or load rating comments from Metzeler?

I just want to be sure I'm doing everything possible to prevent a blowout at 80mph on the interstate!!

Also, you have one of the sweetest bikes on this or any other planet. I assume that your tins were spray chromed and then candied in blue? Curious minds want to know who did the paint for you....
