RE: Any Leo's active and retired
Hi Bushy and all other Brother LEO and Harley riders.....33 years and still going at the Sheriff's Office, the last 13 has been as the Elected Sheriff! Looking into retirement....not decided yet....
Tobster
I believe I have around 12 or 13 Deputies that are currently riding Harleys right now...not on duty...even though many are putting pressure on me to get a couple for the Office....hard to justify with our weather....and I can't seem to get them to agree to haul that suspect they just arrested around on the back of a bike....go figure!

Hey Bushy,
Welcome from Bridgeview, IL. I'm currently Commander of Administration & Technology. I started our Motor unit with a '92 FLHTP while a Sgt. in 1992. I attended the Basic Operator's School thru H-D & Northwestern University. With the promotions along the way, I don't get much on-duty riding time. I sold my '91 Sporty 1200 and bought our '03 FLHTPI trade-in. As far as the retired part of your question, that could be any time now. I'm in my 28th year and am trying desperately to hang on for the 30 year mark for the full pension. It's getting tougher every day to put up with the BS. [sm=headbang.gif]

Captain (Support Services Section) with the Mobile AL PD. Fulltime motor ofcr from 82 - 87 then part time assignment til 93. Working on my 33rd year. NA grad 211th session. Ride a 05 Ultra Classic; great way to get away from the everyday stuff. Living here on the coast of AL we can ride most days of the year and I take advantage of that.

Retired city police as Detective Sgt. after 20 years. Academy instructor, firearms instructor, department pistol team captain. Never rode as a part of the job.
captain_jeb,
I graduated from the 112th session of the NA in April 1978. It was one of the highlights of my career.

Bill
