Default Road King Classic Leather Bags - nicks/dings

Just wondering if anyone has any great ideas on how to clean up the little nicks and dings you get on the RKC leather bags.

My grandson got me first... "ooooh, grandpa, let me sit on it. Sure, grandson, jump up... uh...
NO, NOT ON THE LEATHER!"

Wife got me next with her new boot heels...

Nothing big or deep, just light dimple or scratch. Already tried to rub 'em out with the HD dressing, but they are still there.

Live with it, or is there a way to buff them out...?

I agree with the Doc Bailey's. Good stuff, but not sure it will really buff em out.

Aprofessional leather restorer may be able to help. Otherwise live with it or fork over big bucks for new ones. Also check e-bay.

Hey, come on it's leather.............It's supposed to have that "distressed look"

You can believe I got that look on me and my bags and I'm proud of it. I just sauced my bags tonight and admired all the dents n dings......I'll shave in the morning and do the same.

Doc Bailey's Leather Black
Then rub out with some mink oil. It will soften and condition the leather, making the scuffs less noticable.

It gives your bags "character"
just think, every scuff, ding, mark will give you a story to tell

Use some black shoe polish-cheap as hell and works pretty good-not the liquid tho, go for the paste

I use the black shoe polish method. (for the scratches), then wash them and let them dry fully. (Not in the sun) Then I spray them with a Leather conditioner/waterproofing spray. I found that Wilson Leathers (in many Malls) has the best one I have used.

They will still show the dimples, but it will help with the scratches you might have.

I use the same thing. Works great and matches the color of the bags.
