I was looking at dryers. Saw one that was almost $200. It bragged that it blew with the force of a leaf blower. Little did they know they turned the light bulb on for me.

I bought a leaf blower for $40.

It blows with the power of a $200 bike dryer!

Thats some funny chit right there

Bought a Ridgid shop vac at home depot $29.00 just to dry my bike. They have several attachments including one small tube nozzle for drying the engine. love it. Washable filter.

Check this one out. I have had one for two years and it is fantastic! Small lightweight and very powerful(3HP)! On sale often for under $40

yea, but does the harbor freight one filter the air? i only wash my bike with bottled water from natural springs in the heart of south america so i must have filtered temperature controled air to dry her before she goes back in the climate controled bubble.

The interest on the money I saved from not paying $130-$200 on a dryer will pay for new replacement parts for any sandblasted areas that probably really got that way from riding behind traffic doing 70. I use the already paid for, multiple use, multi-speed, space saving, what sand?.....leaf blower.

Shop Vac with the hose on the outlet and narrow attachement. Cost: 0$. Not super highpressure either, which I like.High air pressure on the electricals and paint make me nervous.

The specialty blower is already filtered, no debris is supposed to get thru ...

Leaf blower minus the tube works great for me. Just make sure the ground under the bike is free of sand or dirt that could blow onto the bike; probably smart to have the same caution for a $130 specialty blower.

Used to use a leaf blower, but got a master blaster for dad's day last year. Love it!! SOOOOOOOO much better than the leaf blower. The soft rubber end on the hose is better if you bump the paint than the end of the leaf blower, but with the hose you don't do that nearly as often. You can also get into more places.

I like that shop vac thing from harbor freight, it looks cool. Does the vaccume feature work well?

As far as drying the bike, I must have been doing it the hard way for years. My father in law and I would wash our bikes and then go for a ride to "dry" them off. But that was when I had a sportster.

Some times we would be gone all day, but the bikes were really wet. Or that is what we told the wives.....(don't rat me out please)
