Leaf blower minus the tube works great for me. Just make sure the ground under the bike is free of sand or dirt that could blow onto the bike; probably smart to have the same caution for a $130 specialty blower.

I have the 4hp and smile every time I use it... filtered air is better than unfiltered leaf blower air (IMHO)

I used to use the leaf blower as well, until I watched my father in law ruin the top of his hard bag. Wet your hand and hold it in front of the blower, as it dries you will see all of the little pieces of sand, dirt, little pieces of plastic from the fan motor etcetc sticking to it.

Knowing what I've spent on my bike, $100 is adrop in the bucket to get some filtered air.

GEEEEZZZZUSSS. Leaf blower . . . .

Get the real thing. It filters the air and warms it too. Yes, it cost some $. My bike is not a leaf.

The Master Blaster works great . . . Yes, I have a leaf blower that I use in my yard.

This on cost $300. It has 2 - 4hp motors. Works great for my cars too. I use this thing a lot. Worth every penny. I know, I know, I could have saved some money by using my leaf blower . . .

ORIGINAL: EdwardK

I was looking at dryers. Saw one that was almost $200. It bragged that it blew with the force of a leaf blower. Little did they know they turned the light bulb on for me.

I bought a leaf blower for $40.

It blows with the power of a $200 bike dryer!

Filtered air???

The air going down the highway isn't filtered. It's been too long since you guys road with out a windshield and your bare face in the wind. Like it or not, your bike is getting sand blasted evertime you ride. Are you guy's drying your bike in a sandstorm that you need the air filtered?

Yes, we've made a huge investment in our bike and we should do everthing to mantain it and protect it properly. I'm impressed that you take such care and devotion to the maintenance and cleanlinessof your bike.

I use mine to commute. Washed it Saturday, rode homein the rain on Monday. Will ride everyday this week rain or shine. Might get washed on Saturday butdoubt it. Probably get two minutes with a rag and spray cleaner

I guess I'm jealous that ya'll can keep your bike clean. Wish I could!

One other little thing that should have been on the "how do you clean your bike?" post. It's okto get your bike wet. I love seeing posts that say keep the waterhose away from the control switches or this area or that area. The engineers had a notion that there was a slim chance you might get caught in the rain and that some people willkeep their bike outside. They made them waterproof.

Thanksfor letting me rant....like you had a choice

If you have the bucks, buy the nice dryer. That's what they were designed for. I have a kid in college. My money is on the leaf blower.
