Default South Dakota Laws

Hello all, me and the wife are planning a trip to SD this year and I always check the laws in each state before. I noticed, and darkened, tinted or any windshield other than the clear is illegal. I have a 6" blacked out on my ultra and was wondering if anyone has ever had any problems with the law regarding this.

Thanks for any and all input.

There has to be more to that law. Something about the shield being at eye level or higher must be in there somewhere. If it isn't, how does HD sell SG's in South Dakota?

I went with 6 others last year, no problems with tinted windshields, there was thousands of them.

the intent of the law is dark tint prevents LEOs from seeing you inside, not that you have trouble seeing out.

I don't knowabout the tint but i did get 7 tickets for haveing handlebars over shoulder height. They were all fix it type tickets but a reason to pull you over none the less. yep pricey trip 7 handelbars, one speeding, one stop sign in Wyoming. Law dogs are tight there they show up more and more as the week goes on.

I wonder how much less law enforcement preasence there is the week after. Most venders are still set up, stuff is way cheaper and possibly there are a lot less cops.
