Yeah, install the TPMS gauge in place of the air temperature gauge... but I'd be lost without that POS!!!

Would be worth it to me. I check pressure before every ride (4 times a week) and getting to that rear tire is a bitch.

I wish there was a way I could NOT have had it put on my 4Runner. The f** idiot light is always on no matter what the tire pressure is. PITA!

my dealer installs Ride-On in all the new bikes. http://www.ride-on.com/prod_mot.aspstill gotta keep air in your tires but hopefully will stop the leaks. Better than a "dude, your tire is flat" light. if you can't feel a soft tire then you don't ride enough!

My first experience with TPMS was in my wifes new fully loaded/decked out Kia Sorento (damn nice lil SUV). Didn't know what that light was in the dash until I broke out the owners manual and looked it up. /forehead

Then when I bought my 04 Mazda RX8 last month I saw a familiar light come on one day and knew exactly what it was (though the RX8's just lets you know a tire is low, not which one like the Sorento does).

Would I want one on a bike? Sure. Don't see why not, and anything that makes regular maintenance checks easier and improves safey while riding is a good thing.

To each his own though. Some seem to fear technological advancements. /poke /jab

My bike starts acting funny at 30lbs. That's enough of a monitoring system for me.

This is a good topic. Has anyone tried nitrogen for better overall pressure?I have always wondered if it was worth it and if not a motorcycle dealer would filling the tire at a car tire place cause an out of balance situation. WILL speak to my service manager at the dealership and get back to the forum on this.

My son in-law has a 2008 Kaw Concours 14 and TPMS is part of the standard instrument display. Seems like a pretty reliable system. I would assume that at some point the tire would need to be pulled to replace the battery. Maybe it is designed to last longer then then tire in which case you just remember to replace it when you replace the tires.
