Two words: F*** THAT!
I ride to enjoy the ride, not to prove I'm some sort of bad ***. I could give 2 ***** what anyone thinks of me.
All you guys who feel you have something to prove, go for it. Have fun. That's what it's all about (or should be, at least).
You guys are definitely more "hard core" than me. I'll admit it. Then again, I'm just a rider, not a biker (and prefer it that way).

I agree, I'm just a rider too!!
I'm not the weatherman and as my plate says "PTSC" ="part time storm chaser" or maybe better said, "part time storm CAUGHT"
When you're on the road;
You get what you get when you get it!
I don't have ruby shoes to click together,
when I say, "There's no place like home!"
I still have to ride the miles home or hold up where I'm at.
Got to admit this, it's a bit unsettleing when SUV's go by with their 4X4 locked in!

Heh, its Sunday night.....must be time for theChewChewpissin contest.
-35 outside with about 20" of snow from the past few days.....cmon up here and show us your wings. Hell, I was still cutting my grass when it was 40 degrees.

Those two littlethings after the twenty stand for inches, as in twenty inches of snow in the past few days alone. Not to mention there was a75 degree difference inmytemp to yours. F*ck no I'm not riding right now, I can barely get around on these streets with my 4x4 Chevy let alone on two wheels.
I've nevercome acrossa Marine like you....and I've met many, trust me.
Ask yourselfwhy you feel compelled to come on here andact so....childish. The behavior you displayonly confirms what I've said before. You could have just as easily typed up on how it was agreat ride, the scenery was nice, it was fun hanging out with budsetc etc. But no, you come on here insultingeveryone and just acting like a self absorbed narcissistic @sshole.
I don't even know why I'mresponding to this. You areone of the ones who will never get it......whatever, ride safe.

Chappy,
Wasn't directing any of that at you, though my quote of your photo may have made it appear that way.
Nah...I was directing that at the self proclaimed bad asses. More power to 'em.
I have more sense than that, and less need to beat my chest or spray testosterone on passers by.
Those who enjoy riding in that kind of weather....goody for you.

RE: Cluck, Cluck, Cluck, sure are a lot of
Hi Phurion,
No harm no foul !
I never leave in such weather myself.
Although I have been caught in snow before.
I don't ride in such a mess not only because of safety,
comfort and I'm smarter than the average bear,
but it's the road salt factor as well.
Like I stated above,
I prefer riding in the warmth of the other three seasons,
unless I've trailer the bike to the sunshine state
or some other winter warm place.
Bummer; I might not make it to Daytona this year,
still not written in stone.
But, I'm hopeing!!
Here in Sunapee, NH we have upto another foot of snow on the way to start tonight.
Also Feb is usually the coldest month.
Back in '94 or '95 we had a February that had 20 days straight of 20 below zero temps in a row. That does not include the chill factor.
On a bike the chill factor is something you have to deal with also.

RE: Cluck, Cluck, Cluck, sure are a lot of
I almost had my buddy talked into pushing me down the hill on my bike the other night, motors torn apart for a HQ build right now. I think I could have gotten him to do it if I'd quit insisting that after I get to the bottom of the hill, he come down and push me back up.....

Sorry choochoo,
At 40* you would be considered a "Fair Weather Rider" around these parts. Most of this weeks rides have been in the teens. In fact a couple of weeks ago on a PGR ride it was 8*.
Obviously, you are a rider not just an owner![sm=biker2.gif]
Ride Well,
Jim
