with the added power of a big bore kit will the spoke wheels hold up?

YES BUT YOU MAY BREAK A SPOKE AT THE REAR. I DID BUT CANT SAY IT WAS FROM THE BIG BORE.

I wouldn't. Spokes are a very strong wheel design when assembled correctly.
