Default ? about slip on's

If you install a set of slip on's do you need to tune the bike, the bike is a 08 Ultra? I have heard from both sides of this for 2 different stealers so I am pretty sure 1 or both are not telling the true about something. I need the forums advice

Thanks

Shouldn't have to as long as you don't also add a high flow intake.

Just slip ons, no retune necessary. Add a hi-flow air intake like the SE or something, retune needed.

If you add slip on's out of the HD catalog, you don't need to re-tune. If you use other slip on's you don't absolutely need a retune, but it won't run optimally without the tune (ie decel poping, etc.). If you add the high flow breather and the slip on'syou need a re-tune. If you do current model Screaming Eagle slip-on's and Screaming Eagle intake, your stealer should have a canned download for the ECM without you having to buy a SERT. You won't get the most performance out of the set up, but it would save you having to buy the SERT.

Going throught this on mine right now. As soon as I hit 1K miles I am going with the SE intake, SERT and Supertrapp SE's.
