On the 06 here's how to set the Auto Arm.

1 Turn Ign ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON
2 Press left turn switch 2 times release Confirmation 2 flashes
3 Press and hold key fob until confirmation is received Confirmation 1 flash turn signals
4 Press and hold key fob until confirmation is received ( No I didn't read this line twice ) Confirmation 2 flashes turn signals
5 Press left turn switch 1 times and release Confirmation 1 flash auto arm disabled 2 flashes auto arm enabled
6 Press and release left turn switch to advance through options
7 Turn ign off

See what good a manual does for you.

Sounds like it is more of a pain in the azz if you have the AUTO ARM set-up. I have enough passwords and security codes to remember. I don't need another one.
It's easier to lock the bike and arm it manually.

As soon as the stealer explained how the system worked on my 08 SG, I knew I had to go home and learn how to pick my own code and figure out how to enter it on the fly. It is so easy once you follow the steps in the owners manual. Don't get caught miles from home without your fob and not know how to manually enter it..

P.S. Does anyone with the siren have myproblem??? About every 5th time I get on the bike with the fob in my pocket, the alarm will scream one warning before it disarms and lets me start it.. Maybe a bad fob or something??? OR maybe its the usual answer.. it's normal... Hehe.

If you have not changed your code on an 07 and up hd. You are leaving your bike unprotected from crooks. My dealer stressed this. All are the same from the factory. Change it to be safer.

What he said!!! Especially before you go to Daytona Bike week or other Big MC event..!!

Also the push button gas cap lock is a good investment..(I don't need to explain why.)

When I accepted delivery of my 07 the service manager went over all the features of the scoot and then required me to change the code. He also stressed that they are all the same from the factory and he felt obligated to ensure each owner change it prior to roll-out.

You're not alone. Mine does it every now and then, but not with any frequency I can pin point. Just seems occasionally the security system doesn't realize the fob is near and gives me a couple of warning blasts before finding the fobs signal.
