Default S.E.R.T.

If I just installed the SERT and left my original exhaust on my 2008 U/C, would I reap any benefits worth spending the money for the
SERT?

Has anyone did this and was happy for spending the dollars??

Thanks,
TBone

I see no distinct advantage unless you want to do some modifications later on down the line... that way you'd already have the race tuner installed and all you would need to do is make the mods and have the bike tuned on a dyno.

Also, you could leave the bike pretty much stock, but utilize the race tuner to "richen" up the fuel, thus making the engine run cooler.

Seems like a waste. Would at least do pipes and the SE Air Cleaner - then the SERT. Not sure what map you would use on a stock setup - the SERT can't read your current MAP - it can only download/re-download.

It's a total waste of money to install a SERT without doing at least a stage 1 upgrade.

There are way cheaper ways to adjust the fuel if that's what your using it for, do at least pipes and an air kit if you already have the sert
