Added the Desert Dawgs Moto Chaps (Road Glide)
This is a great product that impressed me more than I thought they would. I wanted something to protect my toes from cold and rain during the winter, but hadn't made up my mind that I wanted to order the HD hard fairing lowers. So I took a chance from eglidegoodies.com and ordered these soft lowers. I'm pretty pleased with them.
First of all, eglidegoodies answered my inquiry right away about whether they would fit my Road Glide. Sobased on their response I ordered them and they shipped the next day.
Theyfit very good and are of high quality with strong stitching andgood snaps. They fit the crashbar on my '08 Road Glide very well and do exactly what is advertised. I rode 80 miles today in 32 degree weather, and my toes stayed comfortable with the soft lowers. They diverted the wind nicely and provided a quieter ride than what I was used to without them.
They have slots along the side to provide clearance for highway pegs, although I had mine mounted lower than the slot and had to remove them. I might install them a little higher, but I'm still considering whether I really need highway pegs - I find that I don't use them much. The lowers (chaps?) snug up nice to the fairing support bracket, and there is a strap that connectsthem to one another that passes below the downtube. The fit is really good and they look nice. The version I received haspockets on the inboard side that don't strike me as particularlynecessary, but they're a nice touch.
