RE: MADE IT
The trip was great. I got to Dallas Love Field without a problem at 1:05 (flight was actually on time). Jose, from American Eagle HD was waiting on me. Go to the dealership and the place was packed! Skully had all my stuff waiting for me including my new scoot cleaned and full of fuel. He made the guys in the back wash it one more time before I took off at 2:45 PM. Sweet!
I can't begin to tell you the difference between the '90 FXRS and the '07 FLHP. I had the hardest time getting use to the torque of the 103"and smoothness of everything like the throttle and the clutch.I caught some traffic on the 635. An Accord decided to check out the transmission of a KIA. The KIA's rear wheels were setting on the roof of the Accord. A classic reminder as to why tailgating is illegal. With that, I motored on to Little Rock. Had to make up some time and the bike was more than willing to help. Now I know it doesn't have cruise, but it wouldn't move from 80 -85. It just liked it there. Just like when you buy a new car, you don't realize how fast you're going to you look down. I made it to Lonoke, AR, about 400 miles by 9:45 PM. Ended up staying the night and motored on today at 8:45 AM.
Althought the sun was out, I believe the high today wasaround 40 and man it felt like it. I stopped a little more than I planned just to get the blood flowin'. I hit Jackson, TN at about 12:00 PM. It was unbelievable what those tornadoes did there.I could see where the 20 big rig pile-up was. Absolutely nuts. I started to get the shakes by the time I was nearing Nashville but once I hitit I knew I was almost home and forgot about it.
Thats about it. You guys were rightabout a lot of things, but one in particular, I can't seem to get rid of this **** eatin' grin I've got.

Hey Olde Skool. Bost (formerly C&S) and Boswell's are good shops they just didn't have what I was looking for at the time. American Eagle HD just north of Dallas was great to work with.
I've got something like UA as far as dry-fit technology goes. I should be okay there. I picked upbrain bucket and glove liners last night. The head liner will tuck into the heavy t i have. Neck should be fine.
My goal is to get to the eastside of Memphis Saturday night. That's about 480 miles give or take. Should take about 8 hours including small stops and fillups. Then another 4 hours Sunday. Should be one hell of a ride.

Well lets see just how stupid I was. 38 for the high in every country east of Memphis on Sunday. I was doing an average speed of 75. Dave's handy-dandy-trusty site says...
7.6 degrees! Hell I knew it was cold but damn! Although, I'm not too confident in its accuracy. Not to take anything away from Dave's find or the site, but I put it my average top spend, say 85 at 38 and the temp went up to 9.53 degrees. Regardless, that's still cold as S.
Thanks for the find Dave.
