Default How about a new Bagger model?

I really like softails, but one Bagger really catches my eye. Every time I walk onto the showroom floor I'm drawn to the street glide. It really fits me. It is an awsome scooter. One problem for me though, I don't like fairings. So how about a new model to replace the RK custom that was dropped. How about a Street King! Basically a Street Glide minus the fairing. Just a nice nacelle, and detachable windshield. Same exact handle bars, lowered height etc. I don't know, but I bet it would out sell both of thecurrent RK models. And FYI, I know it would be fairly easy to make what I'm talking about from a RK standard, but it would still be a worth while new model IMHO.

Sounds like a RK Custom with hard bags. I think they dropped the RKC because of lackluster sales. I don't think they would do it all over again.

Pretty close, but take a closer look. there is quite a difference in the two. Handlebars for one. Beach bars ain't for everyone. Leather covered bags ain't for everyone. The Street glides rear fender treatment is much nicer than the RK customs ETC. I've sat on both, and the Street glide feels like a whole different bike. Like anything else, Most people go to a dealer, and sit on a bike, and no matter what it looks like, if it don't feel good its out. The Street Glide feels perfect to me, just don't want a fairing.

Why not just make one yourself?
I mean it isn't all that hard to do what your looking to do to any run of the mill Road King.

I have a rk custom... I added the rear fender treatment, and will get some hard bags, one day... I love my bike... I like the options I have with it, but, it would be nice to have a stereo in a fairing... but, with apes, for tunes, I have to go another route, LOL...

I will be happy to sell you the parts from my Road King Classic, that I took off to install a Street Glide (type Fairing). I was just the opisite. I really liked the leather covered Classic bags, the white walls, the Road King bars, (Once I changed them), Aux Lightsand just the overall look of the Road King. I just wanted some killer tunes without putting headphones in or putting mickeymouse ears on my bars for speakers.

Essentially i,m riding a Street King (Cant use Road Glide since its already taken)

Good luck on your adventure.

I think the new bagger should be a Night Glide, blacked out SG or RG,solo seat and a 21 front wheel and tire.RG with SG tailsection and shorty windshield. Something along those lines since the black line has been created by HD. From the Night Train to the Crossbones, no bagger???
