hey monkish i just got a VegaXTS last week, flat black 1/2 helmet, no snaps,DOT-$47.69 and it doesn't look like a mushroom.

Doesn't bother me one way or the other. I have always worn a DOT approved helmet. I have five and counting. Then again I'm fond of my melon

I agree with wearing the DOT, better yet a snell. In fact, I'm gonna go put mine on now and go for a ride. I just hate the law because it leads us down a slippery slope of socialism.
