We have a product down here in SW Florida called "Quick Shine"
Not expensive and works on everything on your bike..!!
I put a little squirt on a clean rag and start at the windshield and the bugs.. They come right off.. Then I work my way around the fairing, tank etc. Going top to bottom,with the paint. chrome everything..!! Never any problems as long as I have used it..!!
If you put it on thick.. it leaves a light film. Doesn't dry and cake etc. like regular wax.. very light to wipe off.
