Try a rag soaked gasoline, you might be surprised what that will easily take off.

Gasoline and Acetone will eat your paint. Do not use them. Gasoline contains Toluene, a heavy solvent, real bad for paint.

 

I use Dental floss insted of fishing line and goof off, works every time.

Start with a hairdryer to warm up the tape. Then take a piece of monofilament line (yes, fishing line) and tie it to two sticks/screwdrivers, or something like that. +2 That's exactly how I remove badges affixed with two sided emblem tape.

 

Used 'Goo Gone' to remove the adhesive from the reflector on the rear fender of my Sportster when I was going to install the backrest sideplates. Took a wee bit of rubbing but worked very well.

 

HaHa been there-done that. Having been in the bodyshop business for 35 years, you're right on the blisters, on small jobs it seems to work pretty well though.

Do the heating method then use the fishing line trick..then use some acrysol to remove the tape left....
