Try a rag soaked gasoline, you might be surprised what that will easily take off.

Gasoline and Acetone will eat your paint. Do not use them. Gasoline contains Toluene, a heavy solvent, real bad for paint.

Start with a hairdryer to warm up the tape. Then take a piece of monofilament line (yes, fishing line) and tie it to two sticks/screwdrivers, or something like that. Once you have the emblem heated with the dryer, use the mono like a hand saw. The emblem should come off fairly easy. If tape is left on tour pak, peel off what you can with your fingers. Then purchase a can of adhesive remover from Home Depot (it is used to remove decals, etc) and use that to remove the rest of the tape.

+2 That's exactly how I remove badges affixed with two sided emblem tape.

Used 'Goo Gone' to remove the adhesive from the reflector on the rear fender of my Sportster when I was going to install the backrest sideplates. Took a wee bit of rubbing but worked very well.

HaHa been there-done that. Having been in the bodyshop business for 35 years, you're right on the blisters, on small jobs it seems to work pretty well though.

I always just yank the emblem off with my fingers and then use my thumb to push the tape off bit by bit. After that I pop my blisters and sip a brew while I admire my handi-work.
