Kuryaken makes something similar, but they are plastic and are clear so you do not notice them as much. I don't run any of them, but they are an alternative to keep you from burning your thighs.

These also help to move your legs out some, I got them and they work good.

Those pipes are alot hotter then you think! Try looking at then in the dark after a run.
I had my pipes Jet-hot coated hoping that would help. Didn't.[sm=boohoo.gif] So what I did was to take the chrome cover off and lay some header wrap (like 3 layers) on the inside of it. It doesn't stop the heat, but will give you another second and a half to move your leg before the rain gear melts away. (If you get the Harley gear it has a heat panel sewn in).
DON'T wrap the pipe! It holds too much heat in and could cause premature failure of the pipe.

So much for riding in shorts.

Instant sun tan!

Anyone make fire retardant pants?

Just think, those 100 degree summer days. What 's that gonna feel like?

This isn't the devil's bike, is it?

Maybe someone can go over the procedure for burn care. Any 1st Responders out there?

Carry some aloe on the bike just in case.

Any takers?

Speaking of which...Anyone know anything about theses?
Tru Duals
or these?
True Duals

I like the way my SE pipes sound and don't see a need to replace the whole system.
