Default 1K service questions

My bike is going to the dealership for the "free", included in the price, 1Kservice. I want to go to syn oil and want mobile1 20-50 for the engine. What doeseveryone like in the trans and primary. If I take the mobile1 oil in to themshould I expect a credit for the oil they don't use for the free service?

Just remember, you get what you pay for. But at least you're not paying for it. Cost me over $250.00 for the fancy fluid change.

cost me 73.95 to do my own 1K service (bought the fancy oil filter wrench)
Stealer quoted me 425.00 and gave me a "free" oil & filter certificate. GO FIGURE

HD says you can use their Syn 3 in all three holes. It seems to work just fine and might help if you have a warranty issue. Somebody's jealous.

Who ever said the first was free? I was quoted 250 from the get go? What do they do at the first... if it's just oil...

My dealer said he wouldn't suggest the synthetic oil unless I was really going to change it every 10,000 miles???

I run synthetic in all 3 holes. and after 37,000 miles, nary a problem. My indy recommends changing the synthetic oil every 5000 miles.
