I would like to get the saddlebag liners. So, before I go to my local dealer, I wanted to checkout the EBAY prices. This dealer, FREEDOM HD, is asking full retail and wants $24.01 shipping!!!

So, I sent this dealership a message asking if they are going to personally deliver the product. Here is his response:

Aren't you a nice person!!!, Then don't buy our products. All of our shipping is based on actual weight of item, and your zip code, we have a great feedback rating and we do very well, and are more honest then most dealers on Ebay.

They are not the only ones doing this......I have checked closely over the past couple of weeks for chrome passenger floorboard covers and a tourpack rack.....Some other dealers have a "buy it now" price that is right out of the catalog, then charge shipping on top of that........

When I buy on Ebay I couldn't care less what they charge for shipping. It's the bottom line (shipping + cost of item) that I look at, and make my decision based on that.

I'll agree it's no deal, but a ripoff?

I do not think the paying retail is the issue...it is the $24.00 shipping.....for an item that weighs probably less than two pounds....

 

I agree. Nobody ever promised everythig on ebay could be bought for less than retail. Hell, I've seen used H-D items sell for as much as you could buy new for at the dealer. As as been said, do your research and buy smart.
