Default Loose grips...................................

I had bought some HD grips for my EGC a year ago, and recently I noticed a rust build up. Apparently the S-100 cleaner I have been using is a little too harsh or the chrome coating wasnt that good, either way, I replaced the grips with the Kuryakyn Grips. I bought some 'glue' at the Harley dealer, and installed them yesterday. I dont have much faith in that glue, it didnt seem to want to set up. Is there something better to use???

I used the glue that came with the ISO grips and i wonder if i will have to cut mine off. It's just super glue. I was lucky to get a 1/8 adjustment turn on 1 grip before it locked up. If you can still move the grip 5 seconds after you glued them on i would say you might have some old glue.

I have had good luck using weatherstrip cement available at your local auto supply store.

The glue that came with my ISO grips was dried up, thats why I went to the Harley Dealer, but if its just super glue, and the other doesnt hold, I will try some super glue.

Just make sure you clean the bar real good. I used some fine sandpaper to get a good seat for the glue and cleaned it with denatured alcohol.
