Default SG license plate?

I stopped by the dealer today to put my license plate on my new 08 Streetglide. I had a chrome frame from my old bike with some hardware that helps cover up the bolts. Anyway, it didn't seem like the 4 holes on my license plate lined up with the stock SG license plate bracket... I can get the top two screws in place but then couldn't get the bottom two. Maybe they didn't line up because of the chrome frame???

Anyway, is this a common problem with the SG bracket (only being able to use two screws)? Also, is there a simple fix that is cheap and still looks good? I don't feel like spending $50 on a special license plate bracket/frame, etc. Preferably something under $20.

Thanks.

Default RE: SG license plate?

Yup I have the same problem on my SG. I thought about either glueing some chrome acorn nuts on there or taking the dremel to the actual bracket and just grinding the little bit off to get those bottom screws through.
