Default Bought a Trailer for (behind) the Ultra

Went to the IMCS in Minneapolis yesterday. I knew i was going to buy some heated gloves and socks, and in fact did. I left with a new trailer too!

I had been looking at a Piggy Back trailer. Price is right on them, but there was some things I did not like. So, I started comparing everything end ended up buying an Aluma MCT in Indigo Blue. Figure this should pretty much last the rest of my life!

As apposed to a trailer for in front of the bike, sounds pretty cool. I would suppose you would have it color matched to your scooter.

Hmmm, your sig picture says Keystone, but you are in Minneapolis.

Hey, anyway, now ya got to wait for 5 more months for ridin weather up there to test the trailer.

Keystone,
I know this is probably obvious, but make sure your brakes and clutch are in very good condition before towing. Also start towing in steps, first get some miles with just you and the trailer then you. a rider and the trailer, then start adding weight. This will allow you to get used to any "quirks" your setup might have. You might also want to find an industrial area or large parking lot to practice some emergency manuvers like stopping and swerving. start out easy and work your way up. Lastly remember toincrease your interval when following. Hope this helps, stay safe and enjoy. BTW what did you pay for it????

Almost forgot ---wait I did forget. Be sure to use lots of red loc-tite on the hitch mounting hardware, it's a bad thing when your trailer or sidecar gets there before the bike!!!!

I've been thinking of getting one as well for those week long camping trips where we just can't seem to find enough room to stash everything we want to take!!
That looks like a VERY NICE one, I'm anxious to hear what you had to give for her as well!!!

I've been contemplating getting a hidden hitch setup for the back of the scoot and getting one of those camping trailers. My question to those in the know is, what kind of wear and tear is towing putting on the bike?

We have an Ultra & are pulling the trigger on a trailer this Spring. Was looking at the Piggybacker as well.......would you mind letting us know what you paid for your Aluma MCT ?

Thx, WD
