This one was $1600 and came with a spare. The Piggy Backer XL shipped to my house is over $900. Looking at the other trailers at the show, and elsewhere, this one just seemed to be the best built one that suits what I wanted.

Hitch? No question. I live in Minnesota. It'll will be a Hitch Doc. They are made 45 minutes from my house.

As apposed to a trailer for in front of the bike, sounds pretty cool. I would suppose you would have it color matched to your scooter.
No, as apposed to one that the bike sits on. It's close enough color wise for me. Both are a typeblue anyway.

Congrats on the new trailer. I think you will enjoy it a lot. We have the Aluma MCT-XL. Make sure the tires are balanced. Mine was not and when I did my solo run, trailer bounced all over the place. Also, play with the air pressure in the trailer tires. Max pressure is not needed. Practice in open areas and with a load in the trailer. Make sure you load properly..a little heavy in the front for the proper tongue weight. This trailer tows nice, don't think you'll have any issues with it. Oh, Thomas Bus Sales in Des Moines, Iowa might be the cheapest place in the country to buy an Aluma. I think they have a web site, too.

another convert...i love it! and so will you. get a fish scale from wal-mart and and get your tounge weight around 18-22 lbs. seems to work best for me

The Piggy Backer XL is $795 plus $109 shipping. This one has torsion axles.
The lower priced trailer with leaf springs is closer to $700 after shipping.

I have not had any significant wear or problems towing my trailers with my 2004 Ultra with a Stage 1. Tires don't last as long. I might get 8000 miles out of the rear tire. I've only had to adjust the clutch once.
I purchased a Bunkhouse LX camper last year. Empty, it ways 300 lbs. and loaded right at 490 lbs. Pulls great but milage went down to about 37 mpg cruising at 70mph. The little cargo trailer I have for vacations and touring. It is a Neosho Model 14. Weighs 125 lbs empty and we probably put about a 100lbs of cargo in it. I get about 44mpg with it.
