Default 06 Ultra "new for me"

Ok guys! Been riding 93 Softail since new. Just purchased this 06 Ultra with 13,000 mileswith themajor mods listed as you can see in my sig.The bike is in showroom condition with alot of chrome acces.I have been looking at the 08's, however I couldn't pass this one up. I have been reading this forum for a long time and just recently joined. The information that I am learning here is unbelievable. I am 48 years old and have been riding since I was a teenager with motocross bikes. I have had this bike out for about 100 miles now with 10in. in the midwest can't wait till spring comes. I feel like a kid with a new toy. Did I gowrongin buying an 06 instead of an 08?I figure all total, this bike has $27,000 invested. What do you guys thinka good price would be?

You didn't say what you paid? So how do we know if you got a good deal.

I think your Softail is not going to be seening many miles come this sping. If you are happy that's all that counts and besides it's an Ultra. There are some of us that that think "if your not riding an Ultra, your riding something less". Enjoy it, money is not everything. BRO

I bought my 06 Ultra new in 06, and you couldn't get mine for $16000.00, so yes, I think you got a good deal.

Sounds like a good deal to me with all the mods. I am riding an 06 that i bought new and i would never let mine go for $16,000.00 and i think you will never want to ride anything less than an Ultra from now on.

You did just fine. I recently purchased a used'03 Ultra vs. '08. The 88" and 5 speed works just fine for me and I'm very happy with the $$$ I saved.
