Me personally I have a the current Ultra Limited and with new seat that they made a for this bike I would add or change a thing. The bike is that good.

As a matter of fact I am now putting this seat on my Road King.

For me, here's my changes:

Stage 1 (AC, fuel management)
Free-flowing Exhaust
Comfortable seat (Mustang)
Highway pegs
Better shift linkage to replace rattling stock garbage

I'm happy after that. Would also throw in an SE comp, but haven't done that yet so have no idea what the different is other than comments here.

I have a 2010 103 Ultra Limited and since you asked, if I was the man in charge at HD on the new touring bikes I would have a reverse gear and a center stand as standard equipment. I also would replace that, (eventually breaking out in the middle of nowhere, expensive to replace) skinny *** drive belt with shaft drive. ABS would be standard equipment on ALL bikes.

I have an 07 E.G.C.
I would make LED tail light and turn signals standard. I would also have the red trunk lights standard as well. I like the rider back rest and heated seats. I like the K & N RD air filter kit that eliminated the backplate on the football type stock airfilter housing. My wife loved the Kuryakyn passenger arm rest that has a built in drink holder. I also like and have used more than I originally thought I would the luggage rack mounted on the trunk. The 96 cu. in. gets the job done with decent mileage so I would leave that alone. I would have liked a wider back tire (they went to the new frame and wider tire in 08) and mine is an 07. I don't have cruise control and wish I had it. Thats about it. My 2 cents worth.

For safety and comfort:

1) Get rid of the stock "stomp" rear brake pedal. Replace with an EZ Brake pedal.
2) Back rest
3) Highway pegs
4) Lower windshield to look over, not through
5) Dunlop E3's front and rear.

1. Bright *** Lights BAL-1
2. H-D run / brake / turn kit
3. Retractable tour-pak lid tether

1 and 2 are comfort items. Getting rear-ended doesn't look real comfortable.

3 is a cheap item that is really handy. The stock cable likes to get caught in the lid.
