Default Road King Custom Handelbar question

I have a pair of handlebars that are suppose to be from a 2005 Road King Custom. How can I tell? What are the dimensions?

Thanks

Pat

I found out that these are bars for a road king classic not custom. I might have to purchase the custom bars from HD.

I wouldn't... I found them to be very uncomfortable, for me... I am 6'1", and got a terrible pain in my back, with these bars... since going ape, all is good... If you perfer the beach bar look, I would go with an aftermarket set, with 1 1/4" tubing, to run the wires internally... it really cleans things up, IMO...

I just purchased a '90 Flhrs w/ beach bars, hate them, came w/a set of mini apes, kind of have my mind set on drag type bars, like to lean into bars w/elbows locked, maybe I should try the mini apes.

+1 to Papa, the bars are the next thing I'm changing. I was planning on changing to a real beach bar, but I'm going Ape now too.

I would advise you to try out the different bars that interest you before going through the expense of changing yours. Everyone is different and what is comfortable to you, may not be to someone else. The stock bars on my road king standard killed me, I love the look of apes on a RK, but after riding my buddys RK customwith apes i found out they were not for me. He gave me the bars off of his custom and they fit me perfect and i love them (he hated them) I do agree with what papa travis said and go with the 1 1/4 bars if you decide on the beach bars.

Listen to what papatravis said...... Lots different type of bars. find the one's that are comfortable for you. 1-1/4" are a great way to go.
