the thing with the beach bars, if you try to grip them solidly (like a chin up bar) then you get a pain in your wrist, due to the weird angle. i find that if i grip the bars like a drum stick, (ie solid with thumb and forefinger, angled toward the palm on the end), then its not so bad. i still want to go with chubby 518s at some point, but would like to check them out first and no one around here has them.

and of course, ymmv.
