RE: FELLOW MEMBER NEEDS HELP (please read)
Thanks for the legal advise. Right now, I'm just collecting letters from my doctors/surgeons to validate my disability beyond the 1-yr. minimum. Thanks for your input.
As far as expanding into the automotive sector, I've already done that 12 years ago. Before my accident, I had 13 dealerships and a steady flow of repeat retail customers and was able to make a good living at.
However, the accident has left me unable to actually do the work, so I started the motorcycle patterns to make some income until I'm able to get back on my feet. I can do the Harley patterns at home relatively easy and not have to leave the house. Because of this big *** leg cast I have to wear for another several months, I can't bend down and roll around on the ground to do the install on the cars. I'm not flexible enough to actually work... I can though ride the bike!!

Here in Minnesota lawyers advertise 24 / 7 for disability claims. I am sure they get a % of what is recovered with no up front fees. If it was me I wouldn't mind paying an attorney out of an awarded claim. Some people will tell you to try to do it yourself thinking that you are saving a attorney fee. But I believe your overall award will net you more & resolve it faster using an attorney.
They have your money - you have paid in to the system for just this possibility. You just need a pain in the a$$ lawyer to convince the government clerks to give it to you.
I am dealing buying a SG. The snow is still on the ground here so I am taking my time negotiating with a couple of dealers. I would be interested in price, etc for the tops of the saddlebags as a starter.
You sound like a guy that has his head screwed on right & priorities in place. I am sorry for your misfortune.
