Default Need Ultra Classic Moto cover

sorry, sorry, sorry ... I've looked at the posts, but still unsure because of the antennas...

I'm looking for an indoor cover for my 08 Ultra Classic, so it MUST be able to handle the antennas ... I think Harley has one for about $80 ... I'm looking for something "cheaper" ... (and no, not a bunch of newspapers or an old sheet) ... [8D][sm=insomnia.gif][sm=insomnia.gif]

thanks!

Went through the same run around as you between Harley and other manufactures.. ended up with a used tour bike Harley cover off ebay for $49.00 plus shipping and it had the velcro slot in the back for the tour pac antenna.. to be up front with you, it's better to remove the antennas all together then to try to horse around a cover without bending or breaking them off... Have done it both ways and ended up just removing the antenna's for storage periods.

I have this one

91685-98

MSRP US $129.95 at HD. I checked at Zanotti's and it's $117.19 including shipping.

Excellent indoor cover. Has a velcro opening on the back that accomodates the antennas.

You paid a chunk of change for your bike, go ahead and spend a little more for a quality cover.

I'm looking for an indoor cover for my 08 Ultra Classic,...
I use the TourKing...while it's not a full cover, it does cover most of the bike and will roll up small enough to put inside a helmet.

$20 from Walmart. Just poke holes in it for the antennas and reinforce with about a $1 worth of
iron on patches. Perfect for a dust cover.

Believe it or not, I got one from Walmart for $30.
Comes with it's own storage bag. Fits my 03'RK Classic
ormy new Ultra. Does the job when I'm not able to ride.
I'm just not paying $100. to "cover" my ride for a short time.
If my scooters were parked outside all the time it would be
a different story. Parked inside, it's just a "dust" cover!

Here's the one I have for my Ultra:

http://www.shopmotorcycleonlinestore...;catalogId=652

Covers well for $30.00. For the antennas (I have the tall originals), I secure the ends in the spaces provided by the latches.
Not form fitting, but it covers quite well.

Take some rubber 3/8" tubing (or any size, really), cut a piece (two pieces...one for each antenna) about 3" long and slit them trhrough verticaly with one slice. Slide them over the antennas, bring the antennas forward and down to the crease between the rider and passenger saddle...holds them in and down nicely and you can store them in your back rest pocket!

Get shorter rubber antennas and you can use just about anything. J&M makes some good stubby antennas for the Ultra.
