Some like 'em, some hate 'em. That's what makes these bikes so much fun to spend money on, do what you like right? So I like 'em and just finished installing the Ultimate Engine Kit from Boogey Lights on my EGC. Turned out very nice. Because of state laws against red and blue I went with the purple LED's. Not as bright as the other colors, but makes a nice subtle glow on the engine. Instead of their switch I wired them into the ACC switch and it's a slick, clean set up. Unless they're on you wouldn't even know that they're on the bike. Can't wait for some decent weather to get out on the road and see how it looks......

There are very good and pretty detailed video instructions on the Boogey web site, but it's on a Dyna not a bagger. It's not that big of a job, but it does take some time. Figuring out where you want to place each strip is the first step. Trying to put them in places where the LED's won't be seen isn't as easy as you might think. Then they all connect together so you have to plan how the wires will run and connect them to the strips before you stick them in place. I had a lot of trouble with my breather, it's an SE and the back plate is very rough. I couldn't get anything to stick to it. So I finally took the whole thing off and filed down a smooth spot on the back. It also is not a level surface so used some 3M tape to build it up the center area to a level smooth spot for the 6 LED strip that I put there. So it's not an hour and you're done kinda job. But the results are pretty cool.
