I'm thinking of buying a shorter windshield for my 07 RK. I find with the stock one I'm either looking over or through it depending on how I'm sitting. I'd rather be looking over.

I've found a few on Ebay but none come with the hardware to mount to the bike (So it's JUST the plastic shield - Nothing else, I would need everything else). I don't really want to take them off of my existing shield incase I want to put it back on for whatever reason...

I was thinking of maybe a 15" shield (Anyone have one? Like it?)

Being from Canada.. There are NO prices in the HD catalogues.

I would probably order it out of the States anyways because the prices are MUCH better AND our dollar is pretty much on par.

It seems Zannottis or Chicago HD is the place to order from - But if anyone here works at a dealer (or can get the hardware in their shop AND is willing to ship to Canada, I'd probably buy from them)

If ya have a part number for a windshield kit I might be able to help out with some hardware prices. Other alternative is to take your hardware and cross match it at a hardware store.

 

I just downloaded the US 08 catalogue and couldn't find the entire kit for the part #'s

(Mind you I just looked through the windshield section of tourers)

Basically.. I would need everything that is on the windshield when you take it off the bike

 

I am in the same boat. My edge is right in the line of sight. I have heard good things about Rifle and will go this direction. they sell a 2" shorter replacement http://www.rifle.com/

 

Well, I've found something I like on Ebay.. It just doesn't come with any hardware...

Before I buy it, I want to make sure that

1) I can get the hardware
2) The price of both is still less than if I buy a complete windshield (Including shipping)

 

how about the king-sized shield? its standard on the police models and is a bit higher. i rode with that shield for about 4 years (at work) and with the air-bladder seat, its perfect.
