i went wiht the hoppe ind.the only problem is the the speakers are a weird size but i replaced them and am super pleased with the outcome(do a search) other than the speakers i'd say the best fairing for your money. all HD acc. fit and factory finish is second to none. good luck. I'd like to warn you dont think to much about removeability, most likly once its on you'll never take it off, 9 months havn't had it off yet.

One thing I have run into with putting a fairing on a rk custom... all the guys I contacted said I would have to remove the chrome wind deflector, which I don't want to do... you might check into that...
I think I would be willing to give up the deflector for a radio, I have a feeling once it goes on it wont be comming off. I do think I saw one that allowed the deflector to stay on, my old computer took a crap and I lost all my bookmarks can't remember who made it.

Travis, while I understanmd you like the chrome deflector, it only put air IN my face. Other than looks it is worthless IMO. I took mine off, replaced the handlebar cover with a RKC cover and sold the visor on eBay for $150 which gave me exactly what I needed for the solo luggage rack I bought. I also in return got superior protection from the cold(compared to no fairing), a killer stereo and a better look for my bike.

I've went with Dead Center Cycles. Don't know current prices, bought mine bare. It was before paint and radio/speaker/wiring options were available.

It locks, main reason that I went with it.

Since owning, and researched most all others at the time I've bought mine,

IMHO Dead Center Cycles was and still is the best quality, service and over all value for my money. Bar none.

I went with Dead Center simply because I can lock it to the bike and when the bars are locked you cannot access the fairing lock. Seemed a good idea aftea after spending a lot on the fairing and thinking someone could walk off with it in less than a minute. I had it poainted but I have heard their painters do an excellent job and the audio system is first rate. The company customer istop shelf and I can tell you where you can buy it from a Dead Center dealer for 20% off if you'tr interested. All Harley accessories including windshields, trim, bras etc will fit this fairing.
Did you have to remove the wind deflector to mount the fairing? And yes I would love too save 20%.

Thanks,
Aaron

I wanted to put a fairing on my 05 Road King Custom, but it is just too much money right now. I am looking to buy a stock windshield for right now. I like the the looks of the Dragonfly more than others.

Buddy of mine put the Dragonfly on last Biketoberfest in Daytona. Wasn't too sure about it until I saw it. Looked great.

I had put on a Hoppe Quadzilla on my Softail before getting my SG. I liked how solid they make their, however I did replace the speakers and head unit (I wanted full iPod control). I got my off Craigslist at less than 50% off, so that certainly influenced it as well.

I bought the bike used and the guy had a Quadzilla fairing. Wasn't to keen on it till my first long ride. Never leave for a long ride without it.
