ORIGINAL: dgretz

My HD stand also only came with one plate#3 and the bottom stand ends #L do bend upward to the frame when following the instructions. According to figure 7 it shows only one item #3, which is the plate. However, table #1 parts lists has (2) as quantity.Directions only mention one plate and that compressing the display stand ends #L up against the bottom of the frame. A call to Milwaukee is warranted. Not expecting much support though as a special hex wrench was needed for the touring oil cooler even though not listed and their response was to borrow the special size hex wrenchfrom my dealer.
Do you think 2 plates were in the original plan and through some cost-savings initiative, they decided to elliminate a component without re-designing the mounting plate on the stand? I have never heard of mounting plate getting bent into submission in order to conform to the shape of the frame.
